This announcement relates to Invitation for Pre-qualification for the following service delivery in Baidoa, Berbera, Bossaso, Buale, Garowe, Hargiesa, Jowhar, Merka, Mogadishu or Wajid. 


                                                       Overview of service areas of interest of UNDP:

Cleaning Services (Warehouses and premises)
Conference facilities (meetings & workshops)
Clearing & Forwarding Services
Cargo Transportation Services (Road, Sea, Air – From destinations in Dubai, Djibouti, Kenya and Uganda).
Catering Services
 


The UNDP Somalia Office invites potential suppliers to express their interest in delivering the above mentioned service ranges with the purpose of developing a Supplier Roster for 2010. The submission should specify the area of service delivery (see above), delivery destination, UNDP reference number UNDP/IFP/10-001 and must be received no later than Saturday 06th February 2010.


The supplier must meet the following eligibility criteria and the submission shall include the following documentation: 


Eligibility criteria  Submission details/documentation required 
Minimum two years of experience Proof of minimum two years of experience within subject service area
Valid registration with the authorities as applicable Proof of valid Company Registration 
Company profile – indicating as a minimum area of expertise, years of experience and ownership details. Company profile indicating number of staff, core areas of expertise and experience, number of years in business -
Including indication of staff capacity, available assets, representation and ownership information. 


Note that only companies with a minimum of two years of experience within service area will be considered.
 
Experience with commercial relationships at corporate, UN/INGO level Reference to minimum two previous examples of similar services rendered (name of customer and nature of service)
Financially sustainable Financial statements from 2009
Product range A clear indication and reference numbering of the product range which the company is able to supply (see above listing), including delivery locations
Completed and signed/stamped Supplier Registration Form Completed and signed/stamped Supplier Registration Form


Companies will be reviewed in accordance with the procedure set out in the UNDP Procurement Guidelines and UNDP Financial Rules and Regulations.

This announcement relates to Invitation for Pre-qualification for the following product ranges for delivery in Baidoa, Berbera, Bossaso, Buale, Garowe, Hargiesa, Jowhar, Merka, Mogadishu or Wajid.


Overview of product areas of interest of UNDP:

Office stationery (i.e. A4 printing paper, pens, markers, paper clips, staplers, staple removers, etc.);

TENDER NOTICE (No. PLISS/ Structures 001)


PUNTLAND LIVELIHOOD SUPPORT PROJECT (PLISS)


GAROWE OFFICE


CARE International in Puntland Supported by ECHO through its Livelihoods support sector has funds to support the rehabilitation of degraded grazing lands using cash for work approach.  In this regard CARE has an intention to intervene through the construction of strategic gulley erosion control structures in selected graze lands in Garowe and Qardho districts. 


In order to do this CARE is inviting the participation of eligible contractors (This may be NGOs, Individuals or corporate companies) with demonstrated technical experience to undertake the works. CARE will provide details of the works in tender documents which can be obtained from CARE Garowe office as from 28th January 2010 1000hrs. 

The completed tender documents in a plain sealed envelope clearly marked: and bearing no indication of the bidder should be deposited in the tender box at CARE Administration office so as to reach not later than 12.00 p.m on the 3RD February 2010. Interested bidders are invited to witness the opening of the tenders to be held at Garowe office on 4th February 2010 at 11.00 a.m.

 The required eligible contactors shall apply the following:

Qualified bidders/ vendors are required to quote for the construction of 47 gulley erosion control structures (check dams) in Qardho and Garowe districts of Karkaar and Nugaal regions.
 

Each structure will be 130 cubic meters. (0.6x0.8 x90) x3=130m3}. In realizing this effort, a cash for work approach will be utilized to facilitate cash injection into the local economy thereby enhancing beneficiary livelihood opportunities.
As such, the vendors under close supervision of CARE will work closely with community elders, pastoralist associations, local authorities, and ministry of environment.   A participatory approach is thus envisaged by all stakeholders in the implementation of this project.


Each structure should be at least 50 m way from the gully heads and at least 30 m apart from another structure.
The head of the dry stone constructed check dams will be bonded with manure to generate the lost graze and filtrate water. 
 
 
A detail tender document is available at the CARE office and all interested eligible contractors/bidders are requested to collect the same every day from the 28th January (0900hrs) to Feb 3rd 2010 at 1200hrs.in the afternoon during which the tender box will be closed.

NO TENDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 3RD FEBRUARY 2010 1200HRS AND THE BID WILL BE OPENED 4TH FEB 2010 AT 1100HRS. 


The documents will be addressed to CARE Admin/ SOC coordinator or his designate and will be dropped to CARE tender BOX at the admin office within the compound.
