CARE Somalia through its emergency unit has received funds to support the rehabilitation of water sources in Sool, Sanag and Mudug  regions of Puntland state of Somalia. In this regard CARE has an intention of intervening in the rehabilitation of TUKARAQ Solar Bore well.                                           

   In order to do this CARE is inviting the participation of eligible contractors with previous experience to undertake the works detailed below to present their quotations as soon as possible. The quotations in a plain sealed envelope marked with “Name of the site (TUKARAQ Village) in Lascanod District should be deposited at the tender box located at the CARE Garowe sub-office not later than Thursday, 22nd July 2010 at 3:00 pm

The required eligible contactors shall apply the following:

1. The contractor should have strong and previous experience in construction such as rehabilitation of boreholes, shallow wells and storage water tanks.
2. The contractor should have experience in community development particularly previously worked with pastoral communities in order to resolve any conflicts that might arise during the execution of work.

3. Should have familiarity with the proposed intervention areas.
A detail tender document is available at CARE office and all interested eligible contractors/bidders are requested to visit CARE Office Garowe every day from 15th July, 2010 to 22nd July, 2010 which is the last day of the tender.  At 8:00 am.

CARE International in Somalia invites therefore sealed tenders from experienced and qualified firms.

1. The quoted price should include : Mobilization, demobilization and hauling construction materials,
2. Supervision of all works.
3. If the quantity of equipment to be delivered decreases or increases then the total amount will proportionately decrease or increase. CARE Somalia reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity of the rehabilitation of the solar bore well mentioned in the tender document without having to furnish any explanation to the contractor.
4. The bidder should state the duration by when the quoted works will be completed.

5. The payment will be made in US $  in Garowe, punt land, Somalia through a bank check
6. CARE Somalia reserves the rights to accept or reject any or all tenders.
7. The bidder should be registered Puntland government chamber of commerce and local government both.
